These terms cover use of the CINE DECIDE web platform at cinedecide.lappsus.com — a critical-thinking tabletop exercise built and operated by Tudor Lapp, under the Lappsus name ("Lappsus", "we"). By having a facilitator run a session, or by using the admin/facilitator tools yourself, you agree to these terms on behalf of the organisation you represent.

1. What's being offered

CINE DECIDE is an educational exercise — game content, a web app, and facilitator tooling — designed to be run live with a group (a school class, a camp cohort, an NGO youth programme), either as part of a free/pilot engagement or a paid one.

2. License to use

Lappsus grants the facilitator and their hosting organisation a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use CINE DECIDE to run sessions for their own participants, for as long as the engagement is active (or, for the freely accessible version, for as long as it remains published).

This does not include the right to: copy or redistribute the software or game content; resell, sublicense, or white-label the platform; reverse-engineer or create a derivative product from it; or represent it as your own work. If you'd like to license CINE DECIDE for resale or white-label use, contact Lappsus to discuss terms.

3. Ownership

All software, game content (the BOOST/Valul de Impact scenario, Six Thinking Hats materials, sandbox verification tools, and related text), and the Lappsus brand remain the property of Tudor Lapp / Lappsus. Third-party components used inside the platform (a QR code library, the Firebase SDK, the Urbanist typeface) remain under their own respective open-source licenses; using CINE DECIDE doesn't transfer any rights in those beyond normal use.

4. Paid engagements

Where CINE DECIDE is delivered as a paid engagement (training session, workshop, or programme component), the fees, deliverables, schedule, and any custom terms are set out in a separate signed agreement or invoice for that engagement. These Terms of Use apply in addition to that agreement, not instead of it; where the two conflict, the signed agreement controls.

5. Your responsibilities as a facilitator/host organisation

• Supervise participants for the duration of the session.
• Make sure the appropriate guardian/parental consent or organisational authorisation for participants (see the Privacy Policy) is in place before running a session.
• Don't use the platform for anything unlawful, or in a way that could harm participants or third parties.
• Keep the facilitator password reasonably secure — it's the only thing gating the facilitator/admin tools.

6. Third-party tools referenced in the exercise

Some steps link out to independent third-party educational tools (for example, Somekone, built by the Generation AI project). Those tools are operated by their own providers, under their own terms and privacy practices — Lappsus isn't responsible for their content, availability, or data handling.

7. Availability & warranty disclaimer

CINE DECIDE is provided on a best-effort, "as is" basis. Lappsus doesn't guarantee uninterrupted availability and isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, to the extent permitted by law.

8. Changes to these terms

Lappsus may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date above will change accordingly. Continued use of the platform after an update means you accept the revised terms.

9. Governing law & contact

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Moldova, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer/data-protection rights you may have under the law of your own country. Questions: lapp.tudor@gmail.com.
